  • Ukraine Conflict Response

    The news and social media feeds are filled with the latest information, and some of it is very upsetting and worrying; and may not even be verified. Children listening and viewing distressing images can become frightened and fearful.  The age range of our children makes it impossible to respond to what is happening in a 'one-size-fits-all' way, and therefore we will be tailoring what is shared with the children accordingly.  What we feel is important as a school, is to prevent the spread of misinformation or the development of racial prejudices.

    We are delighted to be able to share this image. After a process in which pupils, parents, staff and academy committee members were able to contribute design ideas and their thoughts on what makes us who we are, the image below was designed by one of our Year 4 pupils, Leiarna. And we love it!
